Projected slideshow of images at reception
This is exactly what it says it is. In the evening I set up a six foot screen and display all the images from the day in a slideshow for you and your guests to watch during the reception.
Time and time again we get told how much guests and the Bride and Groom enjoy watching the images float by during the evening. Very often the Bride and Groom will only get to look for a few minutes as they are whisked away by their guests but for a lot of the guests, especially guests not inclined to dance away the night get to sit and relax while watching moments they would not normally be privy too. One of the other benefits is if you are inviting some people to the evening reception only, they can often feel less ‘connected’ to the wedding but by watching the images from the morning preparations, through the ceremony and the group shots and portraits they are fully aware how wonderful the bride looked coming down the isle and how the room looked for the wedding breakfast.
The equipment I use is actually designed for medium sized presentation theaters or meeting rooms and the projector is very bright (4500 lumens, normal home cinema projectors are usually between 600 – 900 lumens). I have to edit down all of the photographs, taken by two photographers, from the start of the day up to the beginning of your wedding breakfast and as I only have the couple of hours while you are eating to prepare; we had to invest in some very specific software that allows us to edit at high speed. I don’t leave it at one slideshow though, I always update it later in the evening to include the speeches, cutting of the cake, first dance and evening festivities as well as any evening portraits we may do.
All in all the projector is one of my most popular features of the all day coverage options and one we are always congratulated on- “The slide show on the evening was a truly unique touch, it meant all the guests could see photos of the whole day and meant Richard and I could see each other getting ready and all the bits we had missed.
