I will be co-hosting a series of seminars with my good friend Uzair Kharawala from SF photo school. The seminars will cover the new and emerging market of combined photography and video. We will be covering three areas, namely, portraits, make overs and action sports.

I am really looking forward to these events and expanding the services I offer to my clients and now to other photographers. More information about the seminars will appear on my corporate website www.greswoldephotography.co.uk in due course and as soon as I start to offer these new services to clients I will blog about them here and feature the information on my main website www.greswolde.com

In the meantime, here is a session Uzair and myself shot at Chicksands bike park.

I had the pleasure shooting three ‘promo’ adverts for Ringwood brewery’s excuses’s you tube site last week and the fruits of my labour are now online here. The whole concept of the adverts was good excuses to enjoy a pint instead of going in to work (not that i condone that sort of behaviour!)

I really do enjoy shooting video, it’s actually what I trained in after leaving school all those years ago! I have been involved in quite a few video shoots recently from corporate videos, team presentations and now web-ads, if you look really closely I feature in the advert with the gnomes (no I wasn’t one of the gnomes, I was on the phone!)

For any photographers and / or videographers reading this, the footage was shot on a Sony Z7E and edited, colour graded and sound produced in Apple’s Final Cut Studio 3

Here are a few stills from the footage

Any images have been downsized, you can view the full size images by clicking here.

You may or may not know know that as well as photography I also shoot and edit videos for corporate clients. I really enjoy these projects as its a big change from my usual work and I can try lots of different things that help my photography as well as bringing a photographers eye to my videography. I have been lucky enough to work with companies like Asda, where I edited down some of their Paul Whitehouse milk adverts as well as a few team building and corporate presentation reels.

At the end of last month I was asked to film and produce a corporate video for Arla, one of the UK’s largest dairys. They distribute products like Cravendale milk and Lurpack butter to stores and supermarkets including Asda, Tesco and Waitrose. This is the second year they have asked my good friends at Design Junkie to produce their convention video.

We raised the bar this year with a spoof “Sky news” style episode which sees some of the top Arla staff in different locations around their Yorkshire headquarters. As you will see from the video the whole team were up for a good laugh along the way and we even included some out-takes and extra scenes at the end of the video.

Its always fun working with the guys at Arla and I am really looking forward to next year to see what direction the guys want to take.

For any videographers reading, the footage was shot on a Sony HVR-Z7E, we used Sennheiser microphones and the whole thing was edited, produced and graded in Apple’s Final Cut Studio 3

I have also been working on a project with Immedia productions, I was the ‘cut aways’ guy and was really enjoying using the Canon 5D Mk2 with its crazy depth of field, some of you who follow my tweets may also have seen a still from a time lapse shot i was shooting at dawn, hopefully I can post a bit more info on this soon.

I have been asked not to post the full video so instead here are a few stills from the production
