A couple of weeks ago I was fortunate enough to shoot Nicky & Matt’s wedding at Moor Hall, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham.
The day was bitterly cold and as its a winter wedding the light levels were extremely low so we had to work really hard on the day. Its good fun shooting winter weddings as you always have to be on your toes to catch the light just right but when you do it makes for some wonderful photographs. Only one of the photos in this selection were shot with flash, I much prefer to work with available light as everything looks more natural, its how your eyes see it. I think there is a good balance between available light and using flash. I don’t mind using flash but only when the shot isn’t interrupted or dominated by it but the light at winter weddings is so soft and delicate I find it much better to shoot without.

Again you have shown what a skilled dedicated photographer you are. Nicky and Matts wedding was very emotional and you captured it all. I have seen many fantastic photos that you have taken but the one with Nicky and her neice in the mirror has been the best of all. Well done you ….Fantastic
