Wedding at Crockwell Farm – Faye & Lee

I photographed Faye & Lee’s wedding at Crockwell Farm on Saturday and what a fantastic time we all had. I first met Faye at the National Wedding Show at the NEC when she came up to my exhibit and proclaimed I was the only photographer she wanted to photograph her wedding. High praise indeed. Then she told me she was a photographer her self (no pressure!). While I treat every wedding I photograph the same I certainly feel more pressure when either the Bride or Groom is a photographer although how much of a compliment is it when one of your peers compliments you in this way (it still doesn’t ease that pressure though).

I am sure I say this quite frequently on this blog but Faye really was the most chilled out and relaxed Bride I have ever photographed. All morning she was happy to go with the flow, safe in the knowledge she had surrounded herself with her closest friends and family as well and the countless professionals there to make her day magical.

As I tend to travel all over the UK and Europe for weddings. I very often have to work in venues I have never been to before and while this is fun and exciting for me, it also means I have to deal with many suppliers for the first time to. Thankfully most of the wedding suppliers I meet are very good at their job and focused on the Bride and Grooms needs. Faye and Lee’s wedding was one of these occasions. The Vicar at Saint Mary’s Church in East Cladon was fantastic pretty much allowing me free rein to capture the images Faye and Lee will cherish for many years to come.

Once we had captured a few portraits at the church and before we head off to the wedding at Crockwell Farm near Daventry. We headed back to the Brides Mom’s house to create some fantastic portraits of the Bride and Groom as well as a few with the Grooms Son.

I have never photographed a wedding at Crockwell farm but I have seen a few venues similar to it and I really loved the venue. If you imagine a chic farm venue you wouldn’t be to far off. As soon as the speeches were over it was time for the all important first dance which led on to the guests getting down on the dance floor themselves. Just before I left we had another brief portrait shoot where Faye, Lee and myself created some stunning evening portraits.

Faye & lee, thank you so much for coming up to me at the NEC, I loved every minute of your wedding.
