I photographed Kaylee & Ross’ wedding at the Old School House Lichfield last week (the site of my 21st birthday apparently!) and I could not have picked a better day to return. The sun was shining, the couple looked fabulous and the guests were happy, it’s a pretty good life being a wedding photographer.
I first met Kaylee and Ross last year and I was really happy to be shooting their wedding, they are a really great couple, full of smiles and laughter; a match made in heaven. I started the morning off photographing both the boys and girls preparations. I think it is such a wonderful way to start off the wedding album as it sets the scene perfectly for the day to come. I first photographed Ross and his groomsmen, as ever there was a lot of laughter and quite a bit of confusion when it came to the beautiful pocket watch that Kaylee had brought for Ross. I then met the Kaylee, her family and bridesmaids as they prepared for the wedding and they were all so relaxed, they were a joy to photograph.
It was then time for the wedding ceremony at Saint Mary’s Church in Lichfield. The service was really touching and the church itself was stunning bathed in early summer sun. After the ceremony the happy newly weds greeted their guests which is always a fantastic opportunity for natural, unposed photographs and then onto the rest of the wedding at the Old School House.
We had plenty of time to create some wonderful portraits of Kaylee and Ross in the grounds of the Old School house before it was time for the wedding breakfast, speeches and then later a night filled with laughter and dancing.
Kaylee and Ross, you are both perfectly matched and it was an absolute honour to photograph your wedding at The Old School House, Lichfield.
